I came to collect my takeaway and your shop was shut?

  Reply : A bit surprised by this review, considering we called you a number of times, no answer. Then my staff stayed behind 30 minutes past our closing time and eventually we got our delivery driver to deliver the food to the address we had on file. I believe we went above and beyond to accommodate you, thinking there may have been a genuine reason you were late for your collection.

Food was cold :( Small portion of chips for price paid. A lot of chips were black too. Curry just tasted like a bland korma.

  Reply : Hi, Apologies for your bad experience. Can you confirm that it was Kebab Mahal Dalkeith that you ordered from. Pr chips normally come in a large container. Would appreciate if you could contact the shop and I will ensure you are compensated.

After waiting over 2 hours for delivery, I called only to be told they were very busy and after me asking repeatedly was finally told maybe another 25 minutes or so. I went into the Kebab Mahal in Dalkeith to ask where my food was, only to be told they were very busy and were actually running out of food and was there something else I wanted. I refused and with much disgust told then to refund my money immediately. I have still not been notified or refunded any money 30 minutes later, and am concerned that they will just keep my money.

  Reply : Hi Joanne, Please be assured that the refund had been processed. We haven't had a night like tonight since the March lockdown, and unfortunately we ran out of a lot of items. There were a number of customers that we let down and for that I am regretful. I did offer to refund you and cook you something else, but understandibly you were aggrieved at the time and refused. I can only apologise further and hope that you give us another opportunity hopefully in less challenging times.

Some of the order was missing food was still nice

Took over 2hours to deliver, just 15 mins from shop. All food cold on delivery. Shame, as its normally spot on. Cold food is pretty poor.

Easily the best Indian takeaway in Midlothian, Curry’s are top notch and the chicken kebab is quality.

Never had a bad meal from here.

To all the gang at Kebab Mahal a big thank you from very tired foster carers caring for 2 children with a learning disability and our own (3) kids. Our highlight at the moment is looking forward to Friday takeaway from you. Take care and be safe
